For the seventeenth time, OMNICARD will be providing a comprehensive overview of the worldwide activities of the smart card and smart objects sector. The conference is an authoritative annual platform for the regular exchange of knowledge and experience. Specialists and management representing suppliers meet up with decision makers from the fields of industry and politics, and from regulatory and standardisation authorities. Researchers, representatives of employers’ federations and consultants are equally keen to take advantage of all that the conference has to offer. For three days and evenings OMNICARD is round-the-clock networking.
OMNICARD 2010 will in all probability be opened by Permanent Secretary Dr. Hans Bernhard Beus, who will introduce the central topic of the electronic identity card. The political, technical and commercial issues surrounding eID will then be discussed in major forums and workshops. Other key topics on which top speakers will be giving papers include NFC and the Payment Services Directive (PSD). The future of the good old smart card will be discussed by leading managers from the four largest card manufacturers worldwide. In a keynote – The Special Art of Customer Seduction - best-selling author Dr. Hans-Georg Häusel will speak about the latest discoveries in the field of neuroscience and their relevance to marketing and sales.
Further topics include RFID, the ePassport worldwide, the electronic health card, ePayment, eGovernment, and Security. Parallel to the conference programme is a special exhibition with a wide range of exhibits. Simultaneous translation is one of the many conference services.
